City Supports Synergy in Sports Industry Development by Optimizing International Standard Assets

Jakarta Gears Up to Soon Develop Four Waste Management Facilities

This MoU is related to optimization of sports activities and utilization of assets, especially those managed by Jakpro, thus it will open up great opportunities to increase new athletes and improve existing athletes' performance. With supports and active roles from various parties, sport industry is expected to continue to develop, even in pandemic situation.

Ariza who witnessed agreement and MoU signing between Jakpro and LPDUK said that he supported the positive collaboration in order to improve potential and achievement in sports. Thus the existing sports facilities and infrastructure in Jakarta which managed by Jakpro can be used more optimally in the future by implementing health protocols.

"Hopefully this moment can uphold spirit in sports and togetherness in order to improve athlete's talents and performance both in national and international scale. We are proud to be able to present such a good place. We support positive collaboration to advance sports," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Monday (3/15).

On the other hand, Jakpro also signed Cooperation Agreement (PKS) regarding KONI National Futsal Tournament 2021 which is planned to be held in the near future.

"Sport competitions during a pandemic is an important breakthrough. We can do sport activities as long as we apply strict health protocols," said Marciano Norman, KONI Chairperson in his remarks.

This competition is held as a series of sport events to enliven 10th National Sports Week 2021 in Papua as the pre-PON warm up event. Moreover, this competition is also held to support the welfare of athletes, coaches, clubs, and other parties involved such as apparel, namely equipment provider, venue, and other supporting industries. With revival of sports competitions in Indonesia, surely will give positive impact on economy and business activities.

Furthermore, Jakpro is trusted by Jakarta Provincial Government to manage international standard venues, such as Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV) and Jakarta International Equestrian Park. These two sports facilities were also used at Asian Games and Asian Para Games in 2018.

"Infield area (Velodrome) that we are currently using, can be used as location of KONI National Futsal Tournament 2021 which will be held in the near future. We also hope that Jakarta International Velodrome can be used as multi-function arena for various sports and entertainment activities," added Muhammad Taufiqurrachman, Jakpro Operational Director.

Through development in sports industry through optimization of Jakpro's international standard assets, the purpose in promoting healthy lifestyle through sports and producing the high-quality and talented athletes is expected to run consistently. Thus it can inspire all parties involved to continue their support and best efforts to have sustainable positive impact on development of sports industry, both in capital city and in Indonesia.
